Description
Bear Run Lodge is so picturesque you’ll feel like you stepped onto the “Sound of Music”. A creek babbles through the manicured lawn and the wooded backyard spans almost 12 acres on which you can hike. Let the kids and the dog run free in the front yard and play in the creek. Relax watching the creek go by on one of the benches, or enjoy watching clouds drift by while soaking in the hot tub.
There is a full size bed in the Sleeping Loft, while downstairs there is a bedroom with a queen and another with bunk beds. Have you ever wanted to sink down into a bubbly claw-foot bath tub? Here’s your chance. Bear Run Lodge has a claw-foot bath tub with a shower attachment. The fully equipped kitchen has recently been remodeled, and there’s ample room at the log dining table. The beautiful log table seats up to ten people and offers plenty of room for your troop. The openness, gorgeous chandelier, varnished wood, and the smiling buck will all make your dinners shine on in memories for years to come. Curling up in front of the wood fireplace is the place to be!
Conveniently located between Bryson City and Franklin, you can enjoy what both towns have to offer. On the Great Smoky Mountains Rail Road you will wind between the mountains enjoying the beautiful color year round, and the kids are sure to love one of the themed train rides. Tubing in Bryson City down Deep Creek is fun for all ages. If you venture into Franklin, you can enjoy The Fun Factory arcade with mini-golf, bowling and more. Also in Franklin are many little shops and the Whistle Stop Antique Mall. Connect with local heritage at the Scottish Tartans Museum. Either town you choose to spend time in will grant you access to gem-mining, horseback riding, quaint shops and hole in the wall restaurants. There’s so much to do, you’ll have to come back next year.
Bear Run Lodge sleeps 6-8, is pet-friendly, and is available year round.
