You’ll Love Morning Sun Retreat! When you arrive at Morning Sun Retreat you’ll immediately be struck by the peace and quiet as you breathe in the fresh mountain air and look at the serene mountain ridges rising in the distance. Morning Sun Retreat will revive your body and spirit and you will feel restored.

Morning Sun Retreat is a lovely country cabin, and as you open the front door it reveals the soaring cathedral ceiling, clearstory windows, and the splendid all-wood interior. The open great room includes a living room with a flat panel HD 42 inch TV, a dining room with a large solid wood table, and a modern kitchen. The windows will surround you as you relax on the cozy sofa or in the lounge chair.

Downstairs you’ll find a bedroom with an adjacent bathroom as well as a second bedroom with a second futon and a desk where you can park your laptop and keep in touch with the outside world.

Upstairs past the loft, there is a master suite with a book nook and a spacious bathroom with a jetted tub.

The loft is equipped with a futon, desk, and television.

Outside you can play ball or throw a Frisbee in the flat, grassy back yard, or you can toast marshmallows over the firepit, or take in the mountain view from the rocking chairs. Two large boulders, keepsakes from the original site, frame the green landscape.

Kids will love Morning Sun Retreat with its Board Games, High Chair, Booster Chair, Portable Crib, Toys and Children’s Books, Grassed Flat Back Yard and a Yoga Mat.

Even though you may never want to leave the cabin, there is plenty to do nearby. Children will take special delight in the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad in Bryson City and Santa’s Land in Cherokee. Everyone will love hiking and riding horses on the trails in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, whitewater rafting on the Nantahala River, tubing at Deep Creek, visiting waterfalls, fishing for trout, and skiing at the Cataloochee Ski Resort in Winter.

For nature lovers, there is no place more beautiful than Western North Carolina.

Holidays High Season Rate
3-5 night minimum on: Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving
7 day minimum on: Christmas, New Years

Price is plus tax. State tax is 7.75%, Local tax is 3%. Additional person or pet rent may apply.

Above prices include normal cleaning fees. Kitchen utensils, linens and towels, starter amount of paper products, and hotel-sized amounts of toiletries are provided.
