LAKE SUPERIOR
Looking to get away from it all while in Minnesota? You will feel like you are on the ocean while relaxing at Aspenwood in Lutsen MN. Immediately upon entering, you will notice that every room has an unobstructed view of Lake Superior, making you feel as if you are part of the lake.

Late afternoon and evenings are magical at the lake. Build a fire on the rocks and count stars while the moon dances across the water and later fall asleep at night to the sound of waves lapping on the shoreline. Early risers can watch the sun rise right out of the water while drinking coffee on one of the lakeside decks or sleep in until the warm sun greets your face.

THE HOME
The interior of Aspenwood leaves nothing to the imagination as to where you are; on the north shore of Lake Superior. 2,500+ square feet of living space are adorned with hand-made log furniture and other creature comforts only a newer home can bring. Gourmet kitchen with granite counter tops, two gas fireplaces, upper and lower TV areas with satellite TV/DVD/VCR (and movie library) as well as a game area allow large groups to each have their own space or couples have plenty of room to roam.

SLEEPING
All 4 bedrooms have a dedicated bath and the owner’s suite has a two person “Jacuzzi” whirlpool that overlooks the lake for romantic evenings or soothing sore muscles after an invigorating day of skiing, biking or hiking.

THINGS TO DO
**We have direct access to the Gitchi Gami Bike Trail. You can bike to the Temperence River state park and hike the waterfalls without getting in your car!**
The north shore offers something for each season. Skiers are welcomed home with in-floor heat on each level providing your feet and body with the most luxurious heating system available. Groomed cross country ski trails are less than one mile away and Lutsen Mountains are 6 miles away for easy access. Our insulated, attached garage is a convenient place to store all your ski equipment and car.

Stay cool during hot summer days with Lake Superior’s natural air conditioning or travel a few miles inland and enjoy area lakes for fishing or boating. Superior National Golf Course is only 3 miles away and offers 27 of the most visually stunning (and quite challenging!)holes in the Midwest.

Enjoy 5 restaurants within 10 minutes of our north shore rental home such as Lutsen Resort and Blue Fin in Tofte MN.

Grand Marais MN is a 20 minute drive down the shore and has many unique shops to satisfy even the biggest shoppers. Take a pick of some fabulous cuisine while in town and enjoy the views of the harbor.

Don’t forget about spring blossoms, hikes along streams bloated by spring rains and unmatched fall colors in the Boreal forest. April and November are great quiet times to curl up and read a book by the fire and listen to the waves on the shore when you just need some time to yourself.

Take advantage of everything the area has to offer or stay in and do nothing at all. Either way, Aspenwood has what you are looking for!

Bob’s Cabin boasts lovely sunset views, a pristine lake, friendly neighbors, and a cozy cottage with all the modern conveniences. One of the best rated lakes in Minnesota.

It has its own private dock and boat lift. There is good fishing and swimming right from the dock. The lawn has is grassy and shaded, great for lawn sports.

It’s an active lake, while not too crowded, making it a great place to indulge in your water pleasures. Big Birch Lake also boasts great fishing year round, and Big Birch State Forest (Charles A Lindbergh State Park) is minutes away, hosting miles of beautiful wooded trails.

There are several small towns nearby: Grey Eagle, Melrose, and St. Rosa, Sauk Centre, Long Prairie, each having a grocery/market, bars/pubs, churches, and other small-town frills.

The home is 4000 square feet featuring three levels with tamarack wood ceilings and Birdseye maple floors. The beds are log and the furnishings indigenous to lake country. There are three levels, two have full walls of glass with patio doors out to the decks that span the length of the home.

There are two full kitchens, two porches – one open the other three season with three walls of windows. The main level has a cathedral ceiling open to log loft, great room, bath, kitchen, two eating areas with seating for twenty, butlers pantry with cabinets, serving counter and compactor, bedroom and beautiful three season porch.

The upper loft has two bedrooms, kids cubbie with a single bed and a flip bed plus toys etc., office, family room and bath with whirlpool tub.

The lower level has two bedrooms, kitchen, family room, pool table, bathroom, laundry, another kids cubbie with toys and a hot tub on the deck.

Ponto is one of the cleanest lakes in Minnesota and we have the best beach! Great for kids, shallow half way to the end of dock where it’s deep enough for boats.

This home can sleep up to 20. This is truly one of a kind and we know you will never forget your time spent at Island Ponds.

Cedars Log Home is part of a small resort with a private setting. This authentic Cedar Log home offers five bedrooms and a sleeping loft, three full baths, a complete kitchen with two refrigerators and dishwasher, air-conditioning, and great room with 18 foot ceilings and fireplace.

The sundeck, located lakeside, offers exceptional views of the lake and heated swimming pool. 15 beds throughout the cabin including our large bunk room for kids or fisherman.

Heritage lake home is part of a small private resort in a private setting.

This two story, walk-out basement lake home offers four bedrooms, air-conditioning, two baths, Jacuzzi bathtub, and heated sauna.

Evergreen I and II part of a small resort in a private setting.

Evergreen I and II are both two bedroom lake homes in a duplex. Each side of the duplex has two bedroom, complete kitchen and full bath. Evergreen I and II have recently been remodeled to include fireplace, whirlpool bath tub, new carpet, sofa and dining area.

Huge windows lead to the deck which overlookes the heated swimming pool and the lake. Great views.

Both Evergreen I and II rate is based on four and can sleep six. Spring/Fall rates $160/nt or $865/week. Summer rates $220/nt or $1300/week. Winter rates are $110 based on two guests and $180 for three to four guests.

Woodlands is part of a small resort in a private setting.

This lake home offers three bedrooms, full bath, a complete kitchen with dishwasher, air conditioning and a three season porch with a bird’s eye view of the lake.

Rate is based on six and can accommodate eight. Spring/Fall rate: $220 nt/$1250 wk Summer rate: $270 nt/$1550 wk. Fall/Winter rate: $200 nt/$1125 wk.
