The ferry ride is a lot of fun and the historic town of Southport is gorgeous with its art galleries, delicious food, and interesting boutiques.

I chose this particular unit at Ocean Dunes for my hideaway because it is EXTREMELY SPACIOUS AND PRIVATE with lush landscape surrounding the house creating peacefulness and beauty. I can see and hear the ocean from my perch in the beautifully appointed master bedroom but at the same time experience a feeling of being nestled into the mature greenery. The interior is cozy with art in every room, live plants, and even a lending library except for the cookbooks for your use in the kitchen. Morning Sun Retreat is a lovely country cabin, and as you open the front door it reveals the soaring cathedral ceiling, clearstory windows, and the splendid all-wood interior. The windows will surround you as you relax on the cozy sofa or in the lounge chair.
